R-Motion Golf is an incredible product providing realistic golf simulation. I love the ability to use the Almost Golf Ball... making if FUN and Safe!
This system is a lot of fun to play. Once you set up your clubs it's very realistic. Turning off putting makes getting through the holes faster. Putting is tough for me so I just turned it off to speed up playing. Had a few issues early on with the software but tech support was excellent and got me on my way. I was playing a lot until a softball injury put me on the bench during the summer . Customer service is great and for the reasonable cost I would buy again. Just got my simulator screen delivered yesterday......can't wait to play on the big screen.
This simulator is awesome. My daughters bought it for me as a gift last year. I've been using it indoors but due to the low height of my ceiling, I've only been able to use wedges. I built a driving range in my backyard and set up the r-motion on a big screen t.v. and it has made a huge difference in my practice routines. The stats and graphics are incredible. I had an outside to inside swing plane and this product has helped me correct that problem. Highly recommended. UPDATE 7/24/19: Had some issues that I needed to contact Customer Support for. I worked with Nilsu and the help and responsiveness has been awesome. If you have any problems, contact them and they will resolve the issue!
First when I received the box I was expecting medium to large box but I was surprise how tiny the box was. Is like almost the box of the iphone. The box was supercool, is like one of those expensive jewelry box like the beats box. The device was also easy to install, in the box you get the following item. 1x R-Motion Swing Tracker 4x attachment holder (I was told you can order more to complete your sets, in my case I have 13 clubs in the bag so I will order 9 more of these) 1x USB Charging cable 1x PC Compatible Connection Dongle 1x Allen Key 1x quick guide 1x user guide instructions Step I taken after unboxing the item 1. I charged the R-Motion Tracker using the USB cable and using my Samsung charger to connect the USB to the wall outlet. 2. Went to www.rmotiongolf.com to register 3. Get my TGC license 4. After successfully registering you will two links to download the “The Golf Club Game” and “R Motion Apps.(TGCSim is about 1.6 GB, RMotion is about 42 MB). 5. Once you successfully install both apps, you can go to your desktop and start the R-Motion, and bingo the fun begin 6. Then I change the default settings and setup my equipment length and Loft. (I wish on the R Motion you can change the Club since some players don’t carry a woods and have driving irons and Hybrids). The max length is 40 while I used 44 inches. 7. Once you put it the holder on the shaft then connected the tracker and when it turn Blue and the R Motion Status is check it will upgrade the firmware then you are ready to play. I have used the R Motion for almost a week, I setup a golf cage with net, impact screen, golf mat and a projector on my patio. So far so good I really enjoy the RMotion, I think the numbers are pretty spot on, and when I try some LM at Dicks, Golf Galaxy I am getting the same average on my driver and 6 iron. This I really great to practice at home, I feel like I have improved my short game. I bounce around from 2-4 handicap this year and working on my wedges yardages, and hitting and practicing my wedges a lot with RMOTION seems to improve my striking and give me confidence on the course. I am natural drawer of the ball and trying to practice the fade shot and with the RMOTION, and it really track and pick up show you the ball flight. Other information stats like the path, the distance, the face of the club, the swing path, the club head speed (very close), the ball path, the launch angle, offline, deviation all in all I am very satisfied and not bad at all. Only thing that I don’t like is only came with one tracker, and 4 holders so when playing the courses, you have to remove the tracker then put in on the other club. I will definitely buy more holder but not sure if RMOTION will sell more just the tracker. I will upload pictures and add more review soon since I only have this a week. But so far I really recommend the RMOTION, is very affordable and does what other expensive LM in the market. 5 STARS yes I am screaming :).
This is a decent golf simulator which comes with sensor, holders, and softwares. The best thing is that it comes with The Golf Club Game in the bundle so I can still play golf at my place when the weather is bad. The package comes with 1 R-motion motion tracker, 1 PC USB adapter, 1 USB charging adapter, 4 club attachment holders, 1 Allen key, and user manual. Be sure to read the user manual as it explains the setup procedure, account registration, and how to acquire the needed software. It's nice that there are 4 attachment holders included so I can pre-equip different clubs with them. All I have to do is move R-motion motion tracker from old club to new club to start swing. The motion tracker is "clip on" so it's pretty easy to get it on and off. The minimum requirement for the software are Intel Core i5 or equivalent, 4GB RAM, and NVidia GTX 670 or AMD 7850 w/ 2GB in order to get optimum performance. The R-motion software has quite a few settings such as choosing club types and ball types (real or almost golf ball). The PC adapter and R-Motion tracker are connected through BT and the connection is pretty stable while battery life is decent. I was able to play about 3-4 hours on a full charge. The tracker does a pretty good job tracking the swing and it register when I hit the golf ball (I believe it's triggered by sensing the vibrations when club hit golf ball) and detail readings are shown after each shot.
My product came delivered with the box all messed up. Hope it still works!
I tried really hard to get this to work, after doing a lot of research on it's capabilities and features. It was very promising. Unfortunately, on the second swing I took with a 7 iron, the clip that attaches the device broke off upon ball strike and the unit became unusable. I promptly returned it and requested a replacement - that was before even trying to load any software. I can understand a lot of confusion and frustration many have had in getting this setup. One has to go to the R-Motion website and follow the guide, register and use the download links while following instructions step-by-step. After receiving the replacement and after numerous tries at downloading the Golf Club software, I kept running into "corrupted archive" issues that prevented installation. After overcoming that hurdle, I was finally able to get everything connected only to find out my graphics card was not supported. I then switched over to my virtual machine running on my late-model Mac, ran into a Windows error that said "this software is not commonly downloaded and could be dangerous". After getting by that, I ran into yet another error that virtual machines are not supported. After blowing through a day of downloading, reinstalling, configuring, returning, replacing, yada yada, I finally gave up. Takes more patience than an actual round of golf.
I absolutely LOVE my R-Motion. I've shared it with my friends and family and everyone LOVES it. In addition to my simulator in my home I can take my R-Motion on the road via my cell phone. Now how cool is it that I can swing analyze ANYWHERE! This is the BEST thing since sliced bread. I love, love, love, love my R-Motion. Get one you will not be disappointed.
I'm setting up a driving range outside. I bought the R-Motion to check my stats on my iPhone. It really works great. So great , that I order a PC laptop with the recommended graphics cards to run the simulator games. I'll have to repost after I get the laptop set up and running. Cheapest golf simulator I have found that works. I am also using the Almost Golf Balls. I can put in a plug for them as well.
Originally I attempted to register using my mac. Apparently, They don't support Macs. Trying to get started using a pc has proven difficult. I registered. I try to start the simulator it asks me for My License key which I was never provided after registering. Additionally, When I open R-motion from my desktop I get a "Warning Server Connection error. Your App will be closed. Restart The APP." message first screenshot is asking me for a nickname which I don't have. This is awful. I love the idea of your product but not supporting Macs and not able to use on my PC. What is the point? and btw...I can't get it to recognize anything on my late model iPhone. From the third picture (iPhone App) it looks like all systems are go. But I Can't get it to capture any shots. I press the swing button and nothing happens. I check the club attachment and it is green...waiting for a swing but it just doesn't happen. If things did work you will definitely need clips for every club. It would require at least 3-5 minutes to remove and place the clip on another club. Additionally, alignment with frequent changes would be extremely poor. If the thing worked why not just charge $300 instead of $200 and offering 13 $0.05 clips for $100? #notcustomerfocused. Looks like it would be a good product....If I could use it. I tried customer service. It was glacially slow. They are overwhelmed and understaffed. I returned this. Too bad. I really wanted this to work
I will get straight to the point. for $200 this is a no-brainer for anyone into golf. I live in a very small condo. *see picture I've posted*. This R-Motion device is near perfect for winter play/practice. Because of my limited swing space I cannot use my driver, but to fix this I use my 8 iron and set the club in the software to "Driver". Problem solved! There are a few tricks to getting this simulator working at its best. I've found that switching to "almost golf ball" mode is the best for me (because I use almost golf balls and they work great!) and putt with a real golf ball. Zero issues. One thing you Windows 10 users will have to do however, is turn off the Windows Defender "real time protection". For some reason when this is on the computer will not recognize your USB dongle. But as soon as you turn it off, Voila! all is well and smooth. Always remember to adjust your clubs length and loft you"re using and save the data before playing. I have had no issues with the "old" style club clips, but I do know that Rapsodo re-engineered them and they are flawless now. One more thing to add is that the Apple IOS APP is already available and they are almost done with the Android version. So this will allow you to take your clips and sensor to the range and connect via Bluetooth to get distance, ball flight, club head speed, etc. And all the data saves in a history tab for you to review at anytime! The customer service at Rapsodo is very good too! As long as you have a computer that is "updated" you're all set!
